Only 37k miles from new; recently recommissioned following 18 years in
storage; advisory-free MOT; a really super XJS V12 that would sit well in any
collection
Supplied new by Follett Jaguar
of London in June 1987, this XJS V12 HE Coupe has covered only 37,362 miles from
new as warranted by 13 old MOTs on file from 1990 – 2026 and by correspondence
from previous owners.
First owned by Trucanda Trusts
Ltd of Portman Square, it has had seven more owners since then, the sixth of
whom was to keep it for 20 years (2005 – 2025). The current keeper acquired the
car in December 2025 at which point it had been in storage since
2007.
Over the last few months it
has been fully recommissioned including a thorough service, new front shock
absorbers, new anti-roll bar links, new front brake pads, new electric aerial
and a new battery, as shown by invoices on file.
The original
handbooks are present along with a service book showing two stamps, the last at
13,539 miles in October 1992 (see photos). There are also some historic invoices
for routine upkeep and service items in the late-1990s plus correspondence from
previous owners/sellers warranting that the mileage is
correct.
As you can see in the photos,
this XJS looks to be in great shape for a 39-year-old with excellent metallic
grey paintwork, no obvious signs of corrosion that we could spot and a very
clean and tidy black leather interior.
Starting promptly and running
very nicely as we have moved it around on site, with healthy oil pressure and no
warning lights, it has an MOT until April 2027 with no advisories recorded and
will become MOT-exempt and free to tax next year under the rolling 40-year rule.
It also comes with two sets of keys
and fobs.
One of the smartest XJS Coupes
we have seen, this low-mileage beauty is on offer here at a very tempting
guide price and would sit well in any collection.
