Showing just 15,528 miles;
current V5C records just one former keeper; Honda's magnificent 1,261cc V4
engine developing around 125bhp; recorded as a Category C insurance loss on 11th
June 2015, having been deemed repairable but not economically
Few
motorcycles have earned a reputation for covering vast distances quite as
effortlessly as Honda's ST1300. Combining turbine-smooth performance, impressive
weather protection and legendary Honda reliability, the Pan European became the
mount of choice for touring enthusiasts, police forces and long-distance riders
across Europe.
First registered in April 2005, this ST1300 A4 is an
eye-catching example now finished in bright yellow, a colour that suits the
model's purposeful styling particularly well. Powered by Honda's magnificent
1,261cc V4 engine developing around 125bhp, it offers the sort of effortless
performance and refinement that make long-distance journeys seem remarkably
easy.
Showing just 15,528 miles from new, the bike comes with two sets of
keys and presents very well indeed. The current V5C records just one former
keeper, while the accompanying paperwork includes the original book pack
together with a printed owner's manual.
Prospective purchasers should
note that the motorcycle was recorded as a Category C insurance loss on 11th
June 2015, having been deemed repairable but not economically viable for an
insurer to repair at that time. Today, however, it presents superbly and gives
little outward indication of its previous history.
While on site the bike
starts readily on the button, as can be seen in the accompanying video. The last
MOT was completed without advisories and expired in 2018. Since then, the Honda
has reportedly covered just a single mile, having been stored in dry conditions
for the intervening period.
Equipped with its touring luggage and
renowned for its ability to devour miles in comfort, the ST1300 remains one of
the most capable sports-tourers of its generation. While sensible
recommissioning should be anticipated following its lengthy period of storage,
this low-mileage example appears to offer an excellent opportunity to acquire a
well-equipped and increasingly sought-after Pan European.
Comfortable,
versatile and built to cover continents with ease, this striking yellow Honda is
ready for its next custodian to bring it back into regular use and enjoy exactly
as its designers intended.
