A charming 1932 Morris Minor
Saloon, showing seven former keepers and finished in Blue. First registered in
March 1932, this example represents the final year of production for the
original Minor, which was introduced in 1928 as Morris's answer to the Austin
Seven.
The car has enjoyed a
particularly interesting life and has previously taken part in numerous road
runs and rallies, including successfully completing the approximately 90-mile
Daffodil Run around ten years ago. A bare-metal repaint was carried out in 2013,
when the mechanical side was also attended to with a new radiator, tyres,
battery and clutch, together with an overhauled gearbox and reconditioned fuel
tank. The interior is reported to be in very good condition and the original
working sunroof remains a charming feature.
The current vendor
acquired the Morris in October 2017 and has enjoyed around nine years of
ownership, primarily using it on fine days. The history file includes the
original Buff Log Book, RF60 registration book, six old MOT certificates,
handbook, Pitman's book, photographs showing aspects of the restoration and
invoices for work carried out over the years.
The vendor advises
that the car was running recently, although since arriving on site we have been
unable to start it. The engine turns over freely and is receiving fuel, so
recommissioning may be required. We have also noted that both doors would
benefit from adjustment to enable them to close
smoothly.
An appealing pre-war Morris
with an interesting history, restoration photographs and a good selection of
period documentation, now offered with the opportunity for further
recommissioning.
