What looks to be a rare
Stuart Turner Type R3M single-cylinder, 1½HP water-cooled two-stroke marine
petrol engine dating from the 1930s
Fitted with the distinctive
mechanical "banjo" water pump and centrifugal clutch, this heavily built British
engine was designed to power small river launches, pleasure boats and amusement
park craft.
Produced in relatively small numbers, the R3M is now highly
sought after by collectors, vintage marine engine enthusiasts and wooden boat
restorer.
A wonderful opportunity to acquire an increasingly scarce piece
of British marine engineering. Sold as a non runner.
