Benefiting from a number of sensible upgrades, the bike is fitted with Boyer electronic ignition and upgraded twin 34mm Mikuni carburettors, modifications that should aid reliability and performance while retaining the character of the original machine. The vendor advises that the engine was rebuilt approximately 10 years ago, although the previous owner reportedly used the motorcycle very little thereafter. It was also rewired around five years ago, while recent maintenance includes the fitment of new brake shoes front and rear.

Adding to its visual appeal are a set of off-road-style tyres, giving the bike a distinctive Steve McQueen-inspired desert sled appearance. The vendor is keen to point out, however, that the motorcycle has not been used off-road and the tyres are fitted purely for aesthetic effect.

The accompanying paperwork includes the V5C, one previous MOT certificate, a selection of invoices and several useful spare parts. Included in the sale are a chain guard, original handlebars, original seat cover and a new set of pilot jets for the carburettors.
