This charming 1988 Citroën 2CV6 Dolly
is a delightful example of one of the most iconic and characterful cars ever
built. Finished in its distinctive black and white colour scheme, this classic
2CV captures the simple elegance and spirited personality that made the model a
motoring legend.
First registered in the UK on
19th August 1988, this example has had just four former keepers and has been
with its current owner since June 2012. Showing a credible 77,814 miles from
new, it remains in running and driving condition, starting and operating as
shown during site filming and photography.
The
car is powered by Citroën’s famously reliable 602cc air-cooled engine, paired
with a 4-speed manual gearbox—an engaging and unmistakably French driving
experience. Though the MOT expired in June 2022, this was simply due to lack of
use rather than any known mechanical fault.
Accompanying the car is an excellent history file including its
original handbooks, a service book containing nine stamps, and a collection of
old invoices and MOT certificates—illustrating careful ownership and some of the
maintenance over the years.
This is a wonderful
opportunity to acquire a well-loved 2CV6 Dolly that’s ready for light
recommissioning and continued enjoyment. Few classics offer such charm,
simplicity, and pure driving pleasure.
