Description
Recently recommissioned; driven 40 miles to the auction and used
on a weekly basis; few owners; recent new exhaust; use and
improve
Dating from 1971 but first UK registered in
December 1981 (hence the X plate), this Morris Minor Traveller comes with a
V5C which states five former keepers and 10 invoices for recent
parts.
Our vendor acquired the car as a classic
runabout. It has certainly been starting instantly and running sweetly as we
have moved it around on site, with very healthy oil pressure on one of the
after-market gauges fitted. Recent work includes new brake cylinders all round,
brake and handbrake hoses. The fule pump has been replaced alongwith ball joints
and finally some uprated front seats and seatbelts.
As you can see in the photos, its recent matt black paintwork might
not be to everyones taste but its eminently usable as it is and the exhaust
system looks relatively new.
Cheap to run and
fun to drive, these Travellers are extremely practical classics with a very
generous load area, especially with the rear seats folded down.
It is on offer here at a modest guide price and
could be smartened up over time as desired.
