First registered in June 1987, this
Mercedes 300SL comes to us in 3.0 litre automatic guise finished in Champagne
metallic with a cream leather interior. It is showing just under
88,000 miles with plenty of history.
Coming from 10-year
ownership, this R107 has been garaged throughout that time and used only during
the summer months, serviced every year to keep it in tip-top order. It has an
MOT until October 2024 with just one minor advisory (slight play in o/s/f lower
ball joint).
An impressive stack of invoices show that annual
services have been carried out by RPM Motors in Leominster with every minor
fault taken care of. These include new rotor arm, distributor cap and ignition
leads in March 2019. This year a new brake calliper was fitted, along with a
full health check at MOT time.
We are told that the previous owner
had the whole car resprayed and there are a good few invoices during his
ownership, many from 2013 when it had new rubber joints for the prop shaft, new
rear diff bushings and a full health check by Mercare when all fluids were
changed, along with coolant lines and various other items.
Very
nicely presented both inside and out, the car has been starting promptly and
running well as we have moved it around on site.
Note: we are unable to
remove the hardtop to inspect the soft top.
