2005 MG ZT-T V8

Tidy late model estate variant of the ZT with 4.6 litre Mustang V8 power, stainless exhaust, manual 'box showing just 62,908 miles

Dating from January 2005, this late model MG ZT-T estate is finished in Silver and sits on its original 18inch 11-spoke alloy wheels painted dark grey.

This example is of course, the V8 engined variant, with only a couple of discreet hints, these being the quad exhaust tips and V8 emblem on the wings, oh, and of course the rumble on start-up.

Under the bonnet, we find Ford’s popular modular 16-valve SOHC 4.6 litre V8 engine, developing here, 260bhp and 407NM of torque, similar to that found in the Mustang GT of the same era.  Drive on the ZT260 version is sent to the rear wheels via five-speed manual transmission.

Inside, we find figure hugging half black leatherette and cloth seats with manual adjustment, electric windows, electric mirrors, digital climate control with AC, after-market face-off Sony radio/CD player, front fog lights and remote central locking.

The car shows just 62,908 miles, of which almost 7,000 have been covered by our vendor since he bought the car from us in May 2018.  Since acquisition, he has fitted a bespoke (and very expensive) stainless steel exhaust exhaust with sports cats and central silencer box delete (picture shown) - coupled to an OE back-box, helping unleash a a little more sound of the American dream (but not too much!) and perhaps even a few more bhp too...

The history file includes the V5C recording five former keepers, the current MOT valid until October 2023 showing two minor advisories for both rear coil springs corroded and product on lamp lenses, 12 old MOTs and a selection of invoices for parts and maintenance including the most recent service in May 2021 at 58,871 miles by Islip Motors of Oxford and a replacement ABS sensor in April 2020 with other more historic bills on file dating back to 2007.

Ready to be enjoyed, this is a fast and capable load lugger with rarity and low mileage on its side, not to mention of course the brawny Mustang V8 under the bonnet.
