Supplied new by Malaya Bromley Mercedes Benz in March 1994 this appealing face-lift W124 generation of E-Class convertible comes to us finished in Almandine Red with black Mohair soft-top and sits on its original 15inch 15-slot alloy wheels.

Under the long bonnet, we find the 2.2 litre M111.960 inline four-cylinder petrol engine which develops 148bhp and 210NM of torque driving the rear wheels via four-speed automatic transmission with Sport and Economy mode.

Inside, we find Mushroom leather interior with manual seat adjustment, seat belt butlers, walnut trim, electric front and rear windows, dual zone climate control with AC, heated rear screen, electric rear head rests/roll over bars, electric mirrors, wind deflector and of course the electric roof.

The car shows 124,389 miles which have been covered by our vendor and six former keepers.  Our vendor has enjoyed the car for the past couple of years enjoying dry summer days out in the car.

The history file includes the V5C, two old V5Cs, the owner’s pack and service book recording an impressive 17 stamps, the last in July 2015 at 117,675 miles by F. Howkins & Son of Lutterworth, Leics.  In addition, we also find 18 old MOTs and a file of supporting invoices for parts and works undertaken.

In addition, we also find photographs, purchase receipts, correspondence, MB owners club bits, original purchase invoice and old insurance docs.  The car’s current MOT is valid until July 2023 recording just one minor advisory for play in the NSF wheel bearing.
