  • Plant & Machinery: Lead Auction Cataloguer

    Office based (Madley, HR2 9NH)

    Duties include:

    The Job

    The role of lead auction cataloguer is key to our continued success and cements our reputation within the industry for quality and consistent advertising. This role has fantastic potential for the candidate who is willing to go above and beyond in their day to day working life. No experience is needed & full training will be given in all aspects of the job. What is essential is a keen interest in used machinery and auction sales.

    • Photographing a wide variety of machines and implements
    • Entering machine specific data into our bespoke website & cataloguing system via handheld tablet device
    • Taking working videos and demonstrating working capabilities of the machinery which we offer
    • Assisting with moving trucks & machinery around our auction site and ensuring everything is well prepared for sale
    • Providing detailed condition reports for machines and vehicles brought to our site for the purpose of sale
    • Keep an eye out and spot for tell tale signs of stolen or tampered-with machinery before this presents a problem after the successful sale

    The Person

    This role will be split between being outdoors, and in the office ensuring the website & our online catalogues are up to date, accurate and complete. The role requires someone with a positive “can-do” attitude who is happy to help anyone and everyone on site to get the job done. You will be required to work outdoors in all weathers as well as being physically fit to climb on and off machinery.

    Knowledge & a keen interest in heavy plant/mining/quarry/farming/trucking equipment is a huge positive as you will be seeing a lot of it!

    Interest in professional auction services is desirable.

    The Requirements

    • The successful candidate will be both confident, and keen to learn our trade
    • Ability to take instruction and follow Health & Safety legislation
    • Be career driven and keen to progress
    • Strong English skills
    • Computer literacy and confidence using IT/mobile phones will be a positive
    • Previous experience is not essential
    • A keen eye for detail and commitment to accuracy is very important
